Tips For a Green House

No need to break your house home green. In fact do not even have to re home your home more green. For example, compact fluorescent lamps consume about one third less energy than standard bulbs.
You can search for more energy-efficient appliances. For example, not only concentrating washers save energy compared with the load washing machine, front loader washing machines, but soap and water conservation.

1. Concrete floors: Concrete can be stained or painted and can make your home more energy efficient.
2. Linoleum: Linoleum is made from natural substances such as resin, wood flour, limestone and jute.
3. Carpet with low VOC: low VOC carpets are less environmentally harmful than traditional carpets.
4. Wooden flooring: wood is durable certified apartment excellent.
Here are some other green projects should consider:
1. Get a tank less water heater, which heats water only when necessary.
2. Install ceiling fans to help with air circulation and cooling costs.
3. Planting trees. Trees can shade your house during the summer months and remove carbon dioxide from the air.
4. Set the timer on your water heater to keep constantly in use.
5. Replace old windows with new insulated to.
Remember that most likely will not use the services of an architect unless you add or demolish the wall. You can have one contractor, depending on the complexity of the project manual. However, many of these projects DIY, making it even more worthwhile.
You have several options when you start to think in terms of green remodeling. To start, consider using solar energy. Solar power works best in areas where the sun often shines throughout the year. Although the cost of installing solar energy is invaluable for many experts believe that these costs be reduced in the near future, the use of other, more affordable solar energy.
Consider using local materials in construction. Using local wood and stone will be used for energy saving in transport. Place rocks can be used for landscaping and walls. The same idea applies to the location of the forest. If you like the look, you can even use local wood that has not started to run even more energy savings.
Although some organic products may cost more initially, many of these products to provide long-term savings. Do your homework and compare prices before you buy.
